WINTER STORM JANUARY 2005

snow still coming down, temperature 15 degrees F.

	About 8" of snow on the ground, and still snowing. If you were a goat, this would be your view looking at our house.
	Another goat view of the house.
	If you were a human, this would be your view every morning and evening . . . tromping down the stone steps to the goat houses to wake up the little beings. The red building is the hay shed.
	Lupe eating hay out of the hay shed. Second cutting hay: smells good, tastes good, full of great nutrition. They love their gourmet goat food. They stand outside, put their little heads through the keyholes to get at the prized hay.
	Twice a day we spread out their hay in the manger. This is our view of them.
	Did I say that this hay was the best or what?
	Action with hay. Hey hey that is my hay!! Get your own hay, hey.
	Nell is our most beautiful doe according to her. Black coloring is special (recessive gene you know). Just ask her. Wonderful personality too, tho a bit bossy.
	The rest are brown goats. This is Lupe, demonstrating being a curious brown goat with a sweet face.
	Baby Scooter was born in March of 2004. She is 9 months old. Her grandmother, Rose, is inside the barn peering round the corner.
	4 goats a go go. Scooter in front (no head showing), followed by Lupe, Nell, and Frida. Frida lives now with Jane's brother's family in Pennsylvania.
	We have 2 adopted outdoor cats. We built a well-insulated home for them in the hay bales. Can you find the kitty entrance?
	Bo Bo is a friendly cat. He is always at the door to greet you, no matter where you exit the house. His favorite spot this summer was near the milking goat, where he always managed to find a bowl of warm fresh goat milk for himself. Lucky Bo Bo.
